Royalties for FFMPEG

Postby neilmicronet » Thu Jul 31, 2014 5:40 am

Hi everyone,
Our company has an opportunity that requires adding support for FFMPEG into a WinCE6 based system.
Does anyone know if royalties are paid for such a project? If so, where can I find more information about this?
Who to contact, how much is the cost, etc.?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Neil

There are no royalties. FFmpeg is free, even for commercial use, but usage needs to comply to the license. See FFmpeg License and Legal Considerations. If you need legal advice you should consult a lawyer knowledgeable in software licenses.

You can donate to FFmpeg if you find it useful.
