ffprobe error -38 Function not implemented for MOV file in l

Postby haary_neo » Fri May 13, 2016 3:44 pm

Hi All,

I am trying to probe a video file of MOV format.
in linux i am getting the following error,

"error": {
"code": -38,
"string": "Function not implemented"
}

But in windows the file is probed perfectly.
I am using the below command to probe,

/SDA/apps/ffmpeg-2.8.2/bin/ffprobe -v quiet -print_format json -show_error -show_format -show_streams "/SDA/video/test.mov"

any idea.
Did i miss something ?
Please advice.

Please show the complete console output from both ffprobe versions, and provide a link to the file if possible.

Make sure to use the code button to format the output.
Get an answer more quickly by providing your actual ffmpeg command and the complete console output. Use the code button to format your command and output or your question will be ignored.

When I run the ffprobe to check the lib in windows i get the following output

You have to specify one input file.

The same in Linux shows
Code: Select all
/SDA/apps/ffmpeg-2.8.2/bin/ffprobe

  built with gcc 4.3 (SUSE Linux)

The difference I find is
Code: Select all
 libpostproc    53.  3.100 / 53.  3.100

libpostproc is missing in the linux.

Thanks in advance
