If you are on Linux 64bit, try here: static/
(32bit support will be added as soon as I figure out how to compile 32bit static binaries on 64bit machines)

Another good resource for static builds (Linux) is here: https://sites.google.com/site/linuxencoding/builds

If you are using Winblows, try looking for: FFmpeg Windows builds.

On Ubuntu(and possibly others) ffmpeg can be downloaded with "apt-get install" by updating a few things.
Code: Select all
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mc3man/trusty-media
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install ffmpeg

It takes a little bit of time but it makes it really simple to install.
