--append switch

Is there any way to keep appending stream chunks to a file already saved on disk to result in one continuous file
instead of number of chunks?

VLC can append chunks to a file, If it can be done with FFMPEG or RTMPDUMP, please reply to this post how.

:start
vlc.exe %url% --sout=file{append}/ts:"c:\stream.mpg"
goto start

It is more practical to append chunks when saving a stream rather than concatenating chunks afterwards.
