Correction in docs for blend filter

Postby mulvya » Fri Sep 23, 2016 4:31 pm

Hi llogan,

There's a contradiction in the docs for the blend filter.

Initially, it says
Code: Select all
Output terminates when shortest input terminates.

The entry for shortest option is
Code: Select all
Force termination when the shortest input terminates. Default is 0. This option is only defined for the blend filter.

I checked the source and the default is zero, so the first quoted line should be corrected.

Hi,

Can you send a patch to the ffmpeg-devel mailing list?

Or if you prefer I can do it but it will be a few days at least (work schedule in way and my usual FFcomputer is currently in pieces).

Thanks.

I'll change it to

Code: Select all
By default, output terminates when longest input terminates.

I know you're just rewording the existing halting, comma-spliced FFmpeg-English, but you can add a few "the" in there if you feel like it. Either way is fine with me.

However, I didn't check the source or anything, but I believe you.

Sent with a full complement of definite articles.

I've noticed a few other errors or ambiguities in the docs. I'll send those directly to the list over the next month or so.
